Karen Fergus trained at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and graduated in 1993 with a Bsc honours degree in Physiotherapy.

She has worked:

In the NHS: – At Withington Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital in London.

In Industry: – As a physiotherapist on behalf of Tesco’s

In Private Practice: – At Elaine Atkins Physio  and Vanburgh Physio

In Sport :- at Woodford Rugby Club, Old Loughtonian Hockey Club and for the Girl’s soccer team for Living TV

And more recently in television, providing physiotherapy for the contestants of Cirque de Celebrité.

With extensive experience in the treatment of all musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports injuries, she has developed a special interest in the assessment of postural and movement dysfunction, altered biomechanics of the spine and sacroiliac joint. This has directed her interest in both clinical and modified Pilates, where she has completed both the DMA and APPI certificate courses, which have been implemented into her treatment and rehab programmes.

Karen’s interest in complimentary medicine led her to develop her skills in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, which she has found to be an invaluable adjunct to her physiotherapy practice.
